About the artist
James Robert Root is a portrait artist originally from South Leicestershire and now lives in Nottingham.
His work draws out vibrant colour in its subjects and aims to bring fervency as well as honesty to his paintings.
He has sold artwork all around the world and has been exhibited numerous times. He has won multiple awards for his work including the Two Queens award 2020 and the LCB prize 2021.
